International Motion Awards

Undoubtedly, the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we understand the world, our perspective of present and future reality. However, this crisis has also left positive aspects, such as solidarity and a sense of unity.

An example of this could be seen in the call made by the United Nations (UN) for creatives from around the world to join the fight against coronavirus through art and creativity.

The #UNCOVIDBRIEF19 campaign, developed through the Talenthouse platform, resulted in a selection of more than 16,000 works, including videos, infographics, comics, illustrations, animations, and a wide range of creative pieces aimed at raising awareness about safety measures against the virus, sharing information based on WHO recommendations, and also providing a colorful and optimistic vision to help people cope with this unprecedented situation.

My artwork “Stay Home” was one of the pieces highlighted on social media during the campaign and later received the International Motion Awards in New York, a competition featuring a jury composed of art directors from publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The New Yorker, The Washington Post, and Entertainment Weekly, among others.

A work in which I focus on a hopeful and colorful vision that shares dynamism in the face of a crisis that has left us with a new reality, as well as an opportunity to continue disseminating health-related content through all media, expressions, and formats.

Undoubtedly, video art is a great ally for this purpose.
