“Communication and Health” was created as a knowledge dissemination platform aimed at bringing together a selection of my work developed during my specialization in Scientific Communication at UNED. Since 2009, my main objective has been to make high-quality resources and leading experts in health, communication, and scientific dissemination accessible to the public through clear and effective language, promoting prevention, early diagnosis, and reliable information, while helping to challenge misconceptions and break down social taboos surrounding diseases.
Over the years, I have conducted nearly 200 interviews with specialists from different fields who have contributed to bringing scientific and medical knowledge closer to society. This work has been developed not only through interviews, but also through digital meetings, awareness campaigns, and other communication formats that have achieved wide dissemination across both mainstream and specialized media.
A significant part of this project was disseminated through the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI) and led to the creation of the SaludDivulga section in 2013. This initiative was presented on World Health Day, 2014, within the framework of the 50th anniversary of La Paz Hospital in Madrid, where I also presented the publication “Communicate, Educate, Participate”, a compilation of interviews and articles developed throughout this professional journey.

Outreach through general and specialized media
Likewise, I have had the opportunity to share my work through other media outlets such as EnFemenino, Onmeda, OEI, SINC, DivulgaUNED, and the Official Journal of the Andalusian Medical Association, among many others. On January 2, 2014, this platform was awarded the WIS seal by PortalesMédicos, an accreditation granted to Websites of Health Interest.
This archive brings together some of my interviews and outreach content published within this framework across various general and specialized media outlets.
Evolution and Outreach: Different Formats, Diverse Audiences
My work is focused on the field of scientific and medical communication and outreach. I develop projects that integrate new technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence into educational and dissemination processes.
Over the years, I have developed projects in collaboration with different stakeholders in the healthcare sector: press agencies and communication departments, medical and scientific societies, pharmaceutical companies, patient associations, sponsors, research groups, and specialized and general media outlets. This experience has allowed me to gain an in-depth understanding of communication and outreach contexts for diverse audiences.
In this way, I have created content for campaigns aimed at the general public, patient associations, and the scientific community, as well as audiovisual, graphic, and editorial materials across different formats and platforms. My work explores the potential of new technologies such as virtual environments, interactive experiences, gamified online training, and the integration of artificial intelligence to improve communication and educational processes.
This experience has allowed me — and continues to allow me — to be part of the evolution of new ecosystems for the dissemination of medical and scientific knowledge, as well as new ways of connecting this knowledge with audiences in a clear, accessible, and engaging way.

Art and Technology: A Medium for Communication and Outreach
Likewise, I have had the honor of receiving the “American Illustration 45” Award (2026), the “American Illustration” Award (2024), and the “International Motion Awards” Award (2020) in New York. These recognitions were granted to artworks in which I highlight the importance of creativity as an interface for health communication and outreach, and technology as a medium to expand the reach and impact of this communication and dissemination work.
Current Trends and Innovation: Outreach in the New Digital Era
Currently, I work in the field of medical communication, with a focus on new technologies applied to healthcare communication and education. I develop projects that integrate techniques such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence into different communication, outreach, and educational processes, with a special focus on EdTech.
At the same time, I explore new ways of disseminating medical and scientific knowledge through digital platforms, interactive environments, audiovisual content, and immersive experiences that connect with diverse audiences, encouraging more direct, active, and cross-disciplinary participation.

In this same context, I develop exhibition projects and educational initiatives focused on the opportunities and challenges of combining art and new technologies applied to scientific and medical communication and outreach.
I regularly collaborate with different media outlets through the publication of interviews and articles addressing the new challenges, platforms, and formats of science and health communication in an era of rapid technological expansion.
